Max Verstappen will be eager to keep his Formula One world title defence on track by winning the
Brazilian Grand Prix for the fourth time.

The Red Bull Racing driver secured a podium spot at the Mexico City Grand Prix on 26 October, the most recent race on the 2025 Formula One World Championship calendar.
Verstappen started on the fifth grid and he passed several cars, which saw him finish third, collecting 15 points and achieving his 123rd podium in Formula One.
Formula One title ambitions
The 2022 Laureus World Sportsman of the Year is still placed third in the World Drivers' Championship standings, having accumulated 321 points.
Verstappen is now 35 points behind second-placed Oscar Piastri of McLaren and 36 points behind leader Lando Norris of McLaren.
Why Verstappen could win the 2025 Brazilian Grand Prix
The reigning Formula One world champion has been unstoppable in the last two Brazilian Grand Prix events as he has won back-to-back races in the Interlagos Circuit, where he also clinched the 2019 race.
Verstappen has won five races in the current season and there is no doubt that he has what it takes to win the last four races, starting with this weekend's event, and go on to retain his world title.
What did he say?
“Brazil is a special place for me, not only because of the incredible races and the great moments that we have had there but also because my family-in-laws are from Brazil," Verstappen told his own website ahead of the 2025 Brazilian Grand Prix.
It can rain heavily there, so you can have quite crazy races, especially last year’s race where we won after qualifying 17th, which was an emotional win and an important moment in the championship. I will be wearing my special Brazil helmet for this race. It is a place that has a lot of history and a great legacy
"But also holds so many great memories for me. I went for traditional colours on the helmet that really stand out, I think the design looks really cool and I’m excited to wear it on track. The fans are super passionate and I always love racing at such an old school track. Seeing that atmosphere and being part of it is incredible.”
